Our Work

At Our Power Hub CIC, our work is shaped by the needs of our community, from health & wellbeing to youth, advice & creative opportunities. Explore our programmes below to see how we support, connect & create opportunities for our community.

Young Apprentice (16-25)

Our Young Apprentices Programme gives young people real insight into career pathways across creative and sports industries. Working in partnership with organisations such as Tate & QPR in the Community Trust, participants explore both behind the scenes roles & front facing opportunities.

From production and digital to coaching & community roles, the programme opens up access, builds confidence and helps young people understand what’s possible for their future.

Young Creative Volunteers (Ages 6–15)

Our Young Volunteers programme supports young people to step into leadership roles within Our Power Hub CIC, with support from OPH mentors.

Many start as participants in our art, digital art & youth sessions & grow into confident young leaders, helping to deliver activities, support others & take on real responsibility.

The programme builds confidence, communication & teamwork skills, while giving hands on experience in a safe, supportive environment.

For many, it’s their first step into leadership, work experience & future opportunities.

Health & Fitness (Seniors, Women & Girls)

Our women, girls and senior fitness sessions provide a safe, supportive space for women to improve their health & wellbeing.

We run daily classes, including Pilates with a crèche, making sessions accessible for mothers & those facing barriers to exercise. Participants have reported improvements in mobility, breathing, mental health & overall fitness. Some have also shared significant health changes, including one woman with type 2 diabetes who, after attending regularly, was taken off medication & told her condition had reversed. More than fitness, these sessions build confidence, reduce isolation & create a strong sense of community.

Narrowing The Digital Divide

Our Youth Creative & Digital programmes give young people the space to explore art, digital art, coding, 3D design & animation in a fun, supportive environment.

In partnership with EE, we delivered free digital skills sessions to help tackle the digital divide in our community, where access to technology & opportunities is often limited.

This work has supported young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to gain hands on experience in coding, digital & tech, while opening their eyes to future career pathways.

Sessions are practical, engaging & peer-led, with many progressing into volunteering & further opportunities.
