About Our Power Hub
Our Power Hub CIC is a community led organisation based in North Kensington, supporting residents across health, wellbeing, advice, creativity, youth development and community access.
Since 2017, we have worked alongside local people to create safe, inclusive spaces where residents can improve their physical and mental health, build confidence, access support and take part in opportunities that may otherwise feel out of reach.
Our work includes women and girls only fitness & well being sessions, senior health programmes, youth art, digital art, coding and 3D animation, advice and advocacy, family activities, cultural trips, weekend respite breaks, community events and access to theatre, museums and educational experiences.
We support people facing isolation, trauma, poor health, financial hardship and barriers to opportunity, including families, carers, young people, women and members of the Grenfell affected community.
Everything we do is shaped by the community.
We listen, co-design and respond to real needs, working with trusted partners, local services, schools, GPs, cultural institutions and community networks.
Our Power Hub is more than a service. It is a place where people feel seen, supported and connected & where health, creativity, confidence and opportunity come together.
Our Story
Our Power Hub CIC began in 2017, in the wake of the Grenfell Tower fire.
In the aftermath, we saw first hand the impact on our community, the trauma, loss and isolation and the urgent need for safe, trusted spaces where people could come together and begin to rebuild.
Our Power Hub was created in memory of Steven Power, Bobby’s father, turning that loss into a lasting commitment to support others.
What started as grassroots, community led support quickly grew. In 2019, we formally established as a Community Interest Company, but our approach has always remained the same, led by the community, for the community.
Since then, we have grown into a trusted local organisation delivering programmes across health & wellbeing, youth development, advice & creative opportunities.
Everything we do is shaped by the voices & needs of the people we serve.
Our story is one of resilience, community & purpose, it continues to grow every day.
